I came to do the Secundum Vitae Program with an intention to change my life around. I had struggled with numerous problems since childhood. Some of them were very deep and some new ones I discovered during my time here. I was open to whatever and did not really know what to expect. All I knew was that I needed to be away from all and everyone. My month ended up being six weeks. I completed the SVP program and I can honestly say that it has changed my life. But more than that I have grown and learned and loved and understood and sympathized and removed blockages and I received an endless amount of support and nurturing and unconditional love. I have realized that I am not alone in this world, that I am a beautiful person inside and out, that I am worth loving and that I love myself. Everyone here, staff and participants have given me more than I can put into words and I am eternally grateful for their presence in my life. I gained a lot of brothers and sisters that I never had and a new set of parents who I owe my life's worth to. Norman and Mohini, thank you, thank you, thank you for reaching down so far into hell to find me. Thank you for allowing me to experience all that is you. Thank you for pushing all the right buttons. Although some of them seemed wrong to me at the time I would take nothing back. I would do it all again times over just to be with you. Thank you for helping me find my internal light and letting it shine for everyone to see. Thank you all for loving me and making me feel like family and at home. You have not seen the end of me. I will be back. |

I checked into the SVP dragging my troubles and addictions along like ball and chain. I knew I wanted to one day help other people with the experiences I have had, but I also knew that I had to help myself first. At Monte Vista I had the most spiritual, blissful days of my life and discovered what love really is. This is a memory I will always carry with me and it shines the light for me to see my way in my future. The staff here has taught me so much. Mohini, Kate, I am so grateful to have spent this time with you and to learn so much from you. Norman, you are the wisest dude I have ever met. My one month SVP program turned into a two and a half month stay and a complete life transformation.
